About Me

Creating a safe space for transformation and recovery through empathetic counseling…

I have worked in counseling since 2015 in Washington State and have experience working with kids, teens, and adults.  I have had experience working with many types of demographics and ages. The demographics that I serve well with are teenagers (ages 12-19), LGBTQIA+, adults from Gen-Z or Millenial generations, parents with young children to teens, Asian Americans and other ethnic minority groups, and spiritual individuals.

I am currently utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy as my main modality when working with my clients. I believe that DBT is a great resource when it comes to understanding many problems that people face. I have been utilizing DBT full-time with my clients since 2020 and have been getting positive feedback on how it has assisted with their goals in life.

Therapy with me will be a collaborative effort. I am not the expert of your life, but I can contribute pertinent information that I have to suit your needs. Therapy with me varies from either in-depth discussions to tutoring based on your needs and goals.

I wanted to become a counselor due to my experiences as a teenager when I truly needed one in my time of need.  I had mentors to help guide me along but never had therapy.  My goal was to be the person whom I needed when I was young and do my best to prevent people from experiencing what I went through.  It helps that my given name means “good listener.”

I also have a background in military culture.  My father was in the Air Force for over 20 years and we traveled abroad, spending most of our time in Japan, where I got to have the opportunity to experience the Japanese culture.  Because of my background, I am more open to different cultures and beliefs.
